Launch guard
v1A fee that fades to zero over your launch window, plus a cap on trade size, on your socket pool.
- Can block trades: Can refuse a trade. It never sees the direction, so it can never block only sellers.
- Takes a fee: Takes a share of the ETH side of each trade, never more than the grant you give it.
What it does
Launch guard (launch-guard v1)
A socket hooklet for the first hours of trading in your socket pool.
What it does
- **A fading fee.** Buys and sells pay a fee that starts at the level you set (at most 1% each) and falls in a straight line to zero by the end of the window. It can never go back up. - **A size limit.** During the window, any single trade bigger than your limit is blocked, in both directions. The guard never sees whether a trade is a buy or a sell when it checks size, so it can never trap sellers. - **After the window it does nothing.** Remove it from the pool whenever you like; removing applies at once.
Roles
- **Owner:** can pause the guard (no fee, no limit) and resume it. Cannot change any setting. - **Anyone:** can route income that has arrived and retry a refused payout. - **The socket:** the only address that can pay this hooklet.
Risks in plain English
- It only applies to trades through your socket pool. Anyone can trade on pons directly, where it does not apply. - Large traders can split a trade into smaller ones. The limit slows bots down; it does not stop a determined buyer. - The fee actually taken is also capped by the grant you give the hooklet and by the pool cap.
Fee lanes
| Lane | When | Default | |---|---|---| | SwapFee | on the fee income when it is collected | 0.50% of the income |
What if
- **The window was set wrong?** Remove the hooklet from the pool (immediate) and deploy a new one. - **I want a longer window?** Deploy a new guard and propose it. Adding a hooklet waits the pool delay, so plan the launch window before the pool goes live. - **The guardian switches it off?** Trading continues with no fee and no limit from this hooklet.
Risks in plain English
- This runs on every trade in your socket pool during the window. It does not apply on pons directly, so determined traders can go around it.
- The size limit blocks trades in both directions. It can never block only sellers.
- The fee can only fall. Nothing here can raise it after deploy.
What if…
- What happens after the window?
- Nothing. The hooklet stops taking fees and stops limiting size. You can remove it from the pool at once.
- What if I set the window wrong?
- Remove the hooklet from your pool. Removing applies immediately. Then deploy a new one with the right window.
- What if the recipient cannot receive ETH?
- The income waits here as owed and anyone can call flush to retry.
Fees
| Lane | Fee |

Fees are fixed into each contract at deploy and can never change for it. Claims, withdrawals and refunds are never charged. Hard cap 1%, written into the code.
